Over the weekend of the 4th and 5th of May there will be a visitation of the National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of our Lady of Fatima and the Relics of Saints Jacinta & Francisco. Various events are planned over the two days in Our Lady Immaculate, all very welcome.

There will be opportunities to take part in prayers, litanies and devotions, and an opportunity to learn more about the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima from the World Apostolate of Fatima of England and Wales. Additionally there will be an extra Mass on Saturday at 3:15pm as part of the celebrations.


Saturday, 4 May 2024 (a first Saturday)

1330H: Procession from the Front Porch of the church and Enthronement of the NPVS of Our Lady of Fatima and the Relics of Saints Francisco and Jacinta

Note: The procession will be together with the congregation, clergy and acolytes.

Crowning, Prayer for Crowning, Reception of the Relics, and Incensing then the Prayer for England by a Priest of the Parish.

1345H: Recitation and reflection of the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary (WAF rep)

1415H: 15 Minutes Meditation on a Mystery of the Rosary (Priest)

In fulfilment of the requirements of the Five First Saturdays devotion

1430H: Veneration (individual) of the Relics of Saints Jacinta and Francisco

Litany to Saints Jacinta & Francisco (WAF rep)

1445H: Chaplet of Divine Mercy

1500H: Preparation for Holy Mass

1515H: Holy Mass

At the beginning of the Mass, a WAF rep will give a 4-minute message on the purpose of the parish visitation.

After Post Communion prayer: Act of Consecration of the Parish to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

1600H: Tea Break/Visit to the Book Table/Brown Scapular sale in the Hall

1630H: Talk on the Message of Fatima in The Hall (WAF rep)

1745H: Enrolment and Investiture of the Brown Scapular

In the Church (Priests to enrol and invest parishioners)

At the beginning of the Mass, a WAF rep will give a 4-minute message on the purpose of the parish visitation.

After Post Communion prayer: Act of Consecration of the Parish to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Priest Celebrant

1000H: Tea Break/Visit to the Book Table/Brown Scapular sale

1045H: Docu-film “Fatima: Message of Hope” In the parish hall

1115H: Q&A/Prepare for Holy Mass

1200H: Holy Mass

At the beginning of the Mass, a WAF rep will give a 4-minute message on the purpose of the parish visitation.

After Post Communion prayer: Act of Consecration of the Parish to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Priest Celebrant

The Book Table will open to give the congregation an opportunity to purchase merchandise and speak to the visiting NPVS team.
