SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEK: This Sunday is Good Shepherd Sunday, or the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Please pray for vocations to the priesthood for our diocese and for those currently training for the priesthood. The second collection supports the education and formation of our seminarians.

SVP FUNDRAISING EVENT COLOURWORX COLOUR AND STYLE DEMO: Fantastic opportunity to get the inside deal on what colours really flatter your skin tone and make the most of your personal style. Sandra, a Colour and Style Coach will give you the tools and the confidence to look and feel amazing. The 45-minute practical demo will help you understand which colours work best for you so you’ll need to buy less clothes and make more of what you’ve got already in your wardrobe! The live talk is in OLI Church Hall on Saturday May 11th at 11.15am followed by tea, coffee, cake and a chance to browse and buy accessories. Tickets £8 in advance, £10 on the door. Tickets on sale after 9am and 12 noon masses in OLI today and April 28th, and after the 6pm and 10:45am weekend Masses in Holy Name.

LEGION OF MARY HOUSE ROSARY: Two members of the Legion of Mary will be happy to visit your home to say a rosary with your family during May. If you would like a visit there are sign up sheets at the back of churches or contact the Legion of Mary via the Parish Office.

ALPHA YOUTH GROUP CATERERS NEEDED: If you could help provide catering for the final Youth Alpha session shard meal on Friday 3rd May please could you contact Fr Paschal for further information in person or via the Parish Office.

SVP COFFEE MORNING FUNDRAISER: SVP Chelmsford will be serving tea, coffee, delicious home-made cakes and savoury items after 9.00 and 12.00 masses today in Our Lady Immaculate. All welcome to meet your fellow parishioners and enjoy the refreshments.

OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP DEVOTIONS: will be held immediately following the 10:30 am Mass on Saturday, 27th April at Our Lady Immaculate church. All very welcome.

THE CATHOLIC WOMENS LEAGUE: will meet on Monday 22nd of April in Our Lady Immaculate Church Hall at 7:30pm. All are very welcome to come and find out more about the work of the CWL across our parishes.

CANON BRIAN O'SHEA GOLDEN JUBILEE: Fr Brian O'Shea is celebrating the Golden Jubilee of his ordination in St Thomas of Canterbury, Grays on Saturday 4th May at 1:30pm. All are invited to the celebration, however if you are planning to attend please you could you contact the Master of Ceremonies, Nick, N.Chinnon@sky.com to help the purpose of numbers and catering.

ST AUGUSTINE 200 CLUB: Last chance to invest! We will do our first Draw for the 200 Club on Sunday, 28 April. We are two thirds of the way to our target of 200 shares but there is still time to get much closer. If you have not paid for your shares yet, I will be collecting on Sunday, or you can pay directly. CARITAS NETWORKING DAY: all are invited to the 2024 Caritas Brentwood Networking Day, Saturday 27th April, 10am – 2.30pm, at the St Edward the Confessor Church Hall, Romford. If you are interested in the Catholic response to homelessness, the Cost of Living Crisis, mental health and well-being, welcoming refugees and migrants or the causes and effects of climate change, then this is a chance to be sustained, share ideas and good practices with people from parishes across Essex and East London and hear about charities and resources available. TUESDAY FRIENDSHIP CLUB: In Our Lady Immaculate Church every Tuesday after the 12:30pm Mass there is tea, coffee and plentiful refreshments. All are invited to join the group for companionship and lively conversation.
