First Reading:Acts 2:1-11 (The story of Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles).
Responsorial Psalm:Psalms 104:1, 24, 29-30, 31, 34 (A psalm praising God's creation and the beauty of the world).
Second Reading:1 Corinthians 12:3b-7, 12-13 (Paul discusses the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the unity of the Church as one body).
Gospel:John 20:19-23 (Jesus appears to his disciples, breathes on them, and gives them the power to forgive sins).
CONFIRMATIONS THIS WEEK: We pray for all our confirmation candidates this weekend as they prepare to receive the sacrament at 3pm this Sunday in Our Lady Immaculate Church.

PARISH OFFICE and ST PHILIP'S PRIORY: As many of you will already know, the sale of St Philip’s, where the Parish Office is currently located,has been ongoing for sometime, but happily is now nearing completion. This marks a significant step in the life of our parish and, understandably, comes with a few changes. Over the coming month, we’ll be finalising our departure from the site. During this time, there will be some temporary adjustments to parish office hours and location. We will keep you fully updated as these plans take shape—please bear with us as we pack up, relocate, and settle into a new rhythm. Thank you for your patience, support, and prayers as we navigate this busy time together.

SION COMMUNITY CHARISMATIC TEACHING WEEKEND: From 6pm Friday 13th June to 2pm Sunday 15th June 2025 Theme: 'Moving in the Anointing’. FUNDRAISING TOMBOLA: after Mass at Holy Name this weekend. Phil Perrier will be running a tombola for the Denis Hurley Centre in South Africa. Each ticket wins a prize. She will be at St Augustine Church the following week.

SVP CHELMFORD: Coffee Morning: today Sunday 8th June, in Our Lady Immaculate Church Hall. We will be serving coffee, tea and soft drinks, as well as delicious home- baked cakes and sausage rolls after 9.00 am and 12.00 am masses.

PA TO THE DEAN VACANCY - BRENTWOOD CATHEDRAL: A vacancy has arisen for a PA, to provide administrative support services to the Parish Priest and Parish Office by implementing and maintaining office systems, processes and procedures and delivering a welcoming, appropriate service to those attending the parish office.
The successful applicant will need to have excellent communication and administration skills.The post will be full-time working 35 hours per week- Monday to Friday.
