STATIONS OF THE CROSS DURING LENT:

• Mondays 7pm in Holy Name Church

• Fridays 12:30pm in Our Lady Immaculate Church : Please note on the 23rd of February Stations starts at 12 Noon.

Fridays 7pm in Blessed Sacrament Church (CM1 2DU)

• Saturdays 11:30am in St Augustine of Canterbury Church.

LENTEN LUNCHES AT OUR LADY IMMACULATE: During Lent on Fridays at 1pm there will be light lunch (soup, bread, and a drink) in our Lady Immaculate Church Hall at 1pm after Stations of the Cross in the Church. All are welcome - there is no charge, although donations to the Mary's Meals will be most appreciated.

APPEAL FOR SVP PROJECTS IN SOUTH SUDAN - 17/18th Feb: This weekend we'll be holding our annual appeal for the SVP projects in South Sudan. On-line donations can also be made via the usual parish bank account - please use the reference "SSudan" ("SSudan GA" if you are in the parish gift aid scheme). Thank you so much for your support.

FOODBANK IN OUR LADY IMMACULATE AND HOLY NAME DURING LENT: The yearly collection for foodbank items begins this weekend. Thank you so much for your generosity this Lenten season, it really helps those in the local community. For more information about items needed please see the leaflets in church or on our Parish website at: https://www.chelmsfordcatholic.... In St Augustine of Canterbury Church please continue to support the 'Little Food Pantry' which is well used.

CAFOD LENTEN APPEAL: Family Fast Day takes place on Friday 23rd February . There will be a short talk at the Masses on the weekend of 24th/25th February and a second collection. Thank you for your generosity.

ARTICLES FOR THE PARISHIONER: Our next edition of the The Parishioner Parish magazine comes out on Easter Sunday. We would be very grateful for any contributions you might like to make, especially items of parish news, from yourself, our schools, parish organisations or any suitable articles, obituaries etc. All articles should be with the editor at the theparishioner@hotmail.co.uk by the 3rd March. LENTEN TALKS IN BRENTWOOD CATHEDRAL: Every Wednesday at 7:30pm during Lent there are series of talks based on the recent Synod on Synodality which took place in Rome last October. This week's talk on the 21st February by Fr Timothy Radcliffe OP who was Master General of the Dominican Order. He was the guest Preacher and Spiritual Director for the whole Synod. The next talk is by Revd Dr Jan Nowotnik.

AN EVENING WITH JESUS AND MARY: All are welcome to our monthly evening of catechesis and prayer. Our time together begins with the Holy Rosary, followed by a talk, and ends with a time of adoration. After the event there will be refreshments available in the hall. These nights look to inform, encourage and enrich all who attend, building up our parish life and community. We meet again on the 21st of February, 7pm - 9pm at St Augustine's Church, Springfield with Fr Paschal.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL FUNDRAISER: Save the date. On Saturday the 24th February and Saturday 9th March between 8am -10:30am in St Augustine's Church there will be a buy and sell fundraiser to raise funds to support all the work the SVP do across our communities. It is £10 for a table to sell items and £1 entry. For more information or to help with the event please contact Anna via the Parish Office.

DIVINE MERCY DEVOTIONS: Take place in Holy Name Church after the 7:30pm Mass on Monday 19th February. All welcome.

OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP DEVOTIONS: will be held immediately following the 10:30am Mass on Saturday 24th February at Our Lady Immaculate Church. All very welcome.
Concert for St John Bosco Children’s Camp: Come and enjoy an exciting variety show of music and entertainment, to raise money for the camp, which provides holidays for over 100 children. The camp is restarting in 2024, under the umbrella of Caritas Diocese of Brentwood. The fundraising concert is on Saturday 13th April 2024 - New Windmill Hall, Upminster. 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
