SECOND COLLECTION THIS WEEKEND: This Sunday is Good Shepherd Sunday, or the World Day of Prayer for Vocations. Please pray for vocations to the priesthood for our diocese and for those currently training for the priesthood. The second collection supports the education and formation of our seminarians.
COACH FOR THE DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM on Saturday the 24th May 2025. Join Frs Martin and Damien, and Bishop Alan and other parishes around the Diocese of Brentwood in Walsingham to celebrate the Jubilee Year of Hope. The cost for a place on the coach is £20 leaving from Our Lady Immaculate Church at 7am, and St Augustine Church, which has parking available at 7:20am. PARISH GROUPS USING THE HALLS AND CHURCHES: Please can all remember to ensure all the doors are locked in the churches and lights are turned off in the spaces when people leave, including the bathrooms. Thank you in advance for your support.

HCPT FUNDRAISING AFTER MASS: This Sunday on the 11th May there will be cakes available after the Sunday Mass in Holy Name to support one of our young People on her trip to Lourdes this summer. Next Sunday she will be in St Augustine Church. Donations of cake would be greatly appreciated and your generosity in supporting her much appreciated. The Parish also carries them in prayer on their trips.
SR TERESA LENAHAN RIP: As many of you may have heard Sister Teresa Lenahan, a Canoness of the Holy Sepulchre, died on 26th April. Her funeral, including burial, will take place at New Hall on Friday 23rd May beginning at 11am. It will be followed by refreshments. Anyone is welcome to attend but we would be grateful to know if you are intending to come for catering purposes. Please e-mail or phone 07443 643254.
WELCOME POPE LEO XIV: Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to your shepherd a spirit of courage and right judgment, a spirit of knowledge and love. By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care, may he, as successor to the Apostle Peter and Vicar of Christ, build your Church into a sacrament of unity, love and peace for all the world. Amen.
V.E. DAY 80TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS: Taking place in the Blessed Sacrament Church Hall on Saturday 17th May starting at 7.30pm. If you like big band music from the 40s, playing silly games and singing then come along to a nostalgic evening of family fun and surprises. Bring your own drinks, glasses and nibbles. Tickets cost £5 per adult, children are free, and are available from the Welcomers desk after all weekend Masses or contact Jenny Smith on 07904 903800. All monies raised will go towards the parish finances.
