SION COMMUNITY CHARISMATIC TEACHING WEEKEND: From 6pm Friday 13th June to 2pm Sunday 15th June 2025 Theme: 'Moving in the Anointing’. COMMEMORATING NICAEA TALK: This year marks 1700 years since the Council of Nicaea in 325, which gave us the Creed still used at Sunday Mass. To mark the occasion, Deacon Ken Carleton—church historian and formation dean—will lead a study day exploring how the Creed was formed and Emperor Constantine’s role in the first ecumenical Council. The event takes place on Saturday 7th June from 10.30am to 2.00pm (with a break for lunch) at the Catholic Church of Christ the Eternal High Priest, Gidea Park, RM2 6DH, accessible via the Elizabeth Line or the M25. It will be live-streamed and available later at www.whatgoodnews.org. All welcome as we celebrate our faith in Jesus Christ, ‘consubstantial with the Father’.

VACANCY CATHEDRAL HOUSE: A vacancy has arisen for a PA, to provide administrative support services to the Parish Priest and Parish Office by implementing and maintaining office systems, processes and procedures and delivering a welcoming, appropriate service to those attending the parish office. The successful applicant will need to have excellent communication and administration skills. The post will be full-time working 35 hours per week- Monday to Friday. The salary is £14- £15 per hour depending on experience. The closing date for applications is 12pm on 11th June 2025 and then suitable applicants will be invited to interview. FUNDRAISING TOMBOLA: after all Masses at Our Lady Immaculate this Sunday. Phil Perrier will be running a tombola for the Denis Hurley Centre in Durban South Africa. Each ticket wins a prize. She will be at Holy Name Church the following week.
YOUTH MASS: On Thursday 5th June, Youth Mass will be held at Brentwood Cathedral, with a workshop looking at the key themes of Pentecost, and how we live out discipleship in the modern world. Join us in the Brentwood Cathedral Parish Hall from 6pm for Pizza, refreshments and workshop, followed by Youth Mass in the Cathedral from 7:30pm. There is no need to book and no cost for this you are very welcome to come along and simply find out more about the BCYS and what they offer!
